Cooperation agreements between CEEInno Platform and Platform Industrie 4.0 Österreich have been signed today in Prague

Prague, 15. 4. 2019: Cooperation between Central European Platform for Digital Innovations CEEInno and the Austrian state Platform Industrie 4.0 Österreich was further enhanced by the signature of a memorandum of understanding and cooperation between the two platforms and the membership of the Austrian platform in CEEInno today. It focuses on establishing closer cooperation between the two organizations and companies active in the field of digital innovation in the Czech Republic and its neighboroughing countries.

The CEEInno Platform was established in 2017 as a response to the approval of the National Initiative Industry 4.0 and the following activities of the CzechInno Association in the Czech regions aimed at raising awareness of the business community and implementing Industry 4.0 elements in business practice. The CEEInno platform aims to disseminate awareness and cultivate the use of digital innovation in practice with the aim to efficiently mediate cooperation between its members and to implement technologically and commercially neutral advisory and educational activities. Its founding members were, apart from CzechInno, 6 institutions supporting technological development and business (technology centres, science and technology parks and innovation centres) and it currently associates more than 30 organizations, academic institutions and companies from 7 countries, including all Czech Digital Innovation Hubs. Plattform Industrie 4.0 Österreich was founded as a response to the announcement of the German Industrie 4.0 Initiative in 2013 and was set up to facilitate collaboration between stakeholders, technological development and innovation in the digital context (“Industry 4.0”) and to find answers to the challenges faced by companies, research institutions and society as a whole. The Platform facilitates digital transformation in Austria and brings together the Industry 4.0 community. Its founders were the Austrian Ministry of Transport, Innovation and Technology (bmvit) and other 5 state organizations and industry associations. The aim of the cooperation is to deepen the Czech-Austrian dialogue in the field Industry 4.0, share good practices, participate in joint projects and organize joint actions to promote and cultivate the use of digital innovations and implement Industry 4.0 elements in business practice as well as in research, education and other activities of the whole society. Both platforms will meet regularly and organize joint events for companies and research institutions. First of them will be Smart Business Festival CZ (23 October 2019, Prague) and Smart Business Festival SK (19 September 2019, Bratislava).

Association of Legal Entities CzechInno brings together business entities, academic institutions, research organizations and public administration in order to deepen cooperation in the field of innovations. It is the creator of a unique system of projects to support innovative entrepreneurship, for which it was awarded a prize within Eastern European Elite Business Award in 2016. In 2017, CzechInno initiated establishment of CEEInno, a Central European Platform for Digital Innovations, which brings together digital innovation players in the Central European region to offer the highest added value in the offering technologies, infrastructure and services needed for a successful digital transformation of business and society.
