Export Festival CZ 2016 just finished

Prague, 16. 6. 2016: Between 15th – 16th June 2016, in Křižíkovy pavilions of Prague Exhbition Centre Holešovice took place the fourth annual event of presentation, information and contacting event focused on support of exports and international business cooperation entitled Export Festival CZ 2016. Except from the traditional series of lectures about new information from the international business environment, the participants had opportunity to find their business partners within the series of organised business meetings – B2B Event. The Exposition Section of the Festival has been spiced by an accompanying programme composed of presentations of individual represented countries, exotic food and drinks tastings and arts expositions. Altogether were, within the conference and exposition programme and B2B meetings, represented more than 100 enterprises and institutions from 33 countries all over the world.

Export Festival CZ 2016, as the 4th annual meeting of enterprises and institutions focused on international trade support has been organised by Association CzechInno together with their partners, this year in the space of Křižíkovy Pavilions of Prague Exhibition Centre Holešovice. The event has been ceremonially opened by President of the Czech Republic Miloš Zeman, followed by Minister of Industry and Trade Jan Mládek, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Martin Tlapa and Director General of Czech Export Bank Karel Bureš. They have communicated their opinions regarding the current issues of exports and international business cooperation within the short opening talkshow moderated by the President of Association of Small and Medium Enterprises and Crafts of the Czech Republic Karel Havlíček.

On behalf of certain of the represented countries, their ambassadors further delivered their opening speeches, which means that we had the exclusive opportunity to listen to the foreword by H. E. Anderahman Salaheldin Abderahman, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Prague, H. E. Pablo Rodrigo Gaete Vidal, Ambassador of the Chilean Republic in Prague, H. E. Aulia Aman Rachman, Ambassador of the Indonesian Republic in Prague, H. E. Franki Verwey, Ambassador of the South African Republic in Prague, H. E. Pablo Macedo Riba, Ambassador of Mexico in Prague, H. E. Liliana De Olarte Paredes De Torres Muga, Ambassador of Peru in the Czech Republic, H. E. Pedro Calvo-Sotelo Ibañez-Martin, Ambassador of Spain in Prague and Madame Albertine Milebwe Kabambi, chargé d’affaires a.i. of the Democratic Republic of Congo in Prague.

The event has been organised as a festival parade of interesting information and contacts together with an attractive accompanying programme. During both days of the Festival, there were open the expositions of the enterprises presenting their products and services dedicated for the international business cooperation and, in the same time, there has been organised a series of B2B meetings that enabled to at about 80 participants to organise more than 100 short business meetings with their counterparts from 15 countries all over the world.

The second Festival day has been dedicated to the Territorial Workshops focused on providing information about the news from represented countries, who have introduced the info about exports, import, possibilities of foreign investments in the represented countries for the Czech enterprises as well as for other foreign counterpart, exclusive possibilities of international business cooperation and other news from the territories with high business potential. These were divided into two sections, whom more than 20 countries all over the world have been introduced to the participants. In the same time, within the third, exclusively Czech workshop, the Export wizards – 15 enterprises and institutions offering concrete products or services with potential of using at the foreign markets have been introduced.

All the Festival has been penetrated by an accompanying programme composed of expositions of the Czech and foreign enterprises and institutions presenting their countries, offering their products and services including arts expositions, samples of culture and tastings of exotic foods and drinks with the origin in the represented countries. This year, the participants had opportunity to taste Moldovan, Chilean or South African wines, Indonesian coffee, Cuban rum, Mexican guacamole or traditional dried meat or Red Espresso made of rooibos from South Africa.

“This year, for the first time ever and, upon the request of the numerous participants of our Festival as well as the embassies themselves, we have opened our event to the European Union countries, who are the nearest partners of the Czechs as well as our potential confederates in attracting the partners from non-European countries,” introduces one of the news of this annual Export Festival CZ the Chairman of the Board of Association CzechInno David Kratochvíl. “This new element registered a great success at the embassies of the European countries and we do believe that also the participants of the Festival appreciated it – from B2B meetings and from workshops they, therefore, have brought even wider spectrum of exclusive information immediately applicable within their business,” concludes Mr Kratochvíl.

Export Festival CZ 2016 has been attended, within its two days, more than 700 participants from 48 countries all over the world. The next Export Festival CZ 2017 is planned for 14th – 15th June 2017, again in Prague.
